Each winter, the roads are plowed to maintain traffic by Village crews. Consequently, the main streets are our priority. The snowplow can only move snow off to the side of the road. Often this appears as though the plow is purposely blocking parked cars and driveways. This is not the case! To avoid being plowed in, park you car in your driveway.

Wiehe Road and Losantiville Avenue are designated "Snow Emergency Routes". This means when the City of Cincinnati declares a "Snow Emergency", all vehicles must be removed from these two streets. Citations and/or towing will result for vehicles left on these streets during a Snow Emergency.

Snow affects everyone! Please be patient and courteous during these difficult times.

Here are the definitions of Snow Emergency levels:

Level 1 Snow Emergencies: Roadways are hazardous because of blowing snow. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution.

Level 2 Snow Emergencies: Roadways are hazardous because of blowing snowdrifts. Only those who feel it necessary to drive should be out on the roadway. Employees should contact their employers to see if they should report to work. If travel is necessary drivers should travel with extreme caution.

Level 3 Snow Emergencies: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. Travel is prohibited unless absolutely necessary. Contact your employer to see if you are expected to work. Reckless or unnecessary driving may be cited as a misdemeanor - failure to comply with a lawful order - may lead to a $100.00 fine. If you are in an accident that causes an injury while driving illegally, you can be cited for a fourth degree misdemeanor.
